During his time as a dancer at American Ballet Theatre Daniel had the valuable experience of working one-on-one with legendary ballet teacher Maggie Black. Known for her healthy, natural alignment and individualized approach to physicality, Black guided top dancers such as Natalia Makarova, Gelsey Kirkland, and Susan Jaffe. Her teaching fundamentally reshaped Daniel's perspective, and this legacy of mindful, holistic training is a core pillar of his own instruction.
