Strength, Flow, & the Nervous System: Personalized Training That Tunes Your Body, Not Just Taxes It.
Connect. Refine. Integrate.
Discover an intelligent approach to movement that builds lasting strength while enhancing your body's innate ability to move, adapt, and heal. These sessions integrating some hands-on manual therapy techniques, stretching, and cuing to help you let go, connect, and activate. If you are seeking to reduce persistent pain, increase your body awareness, or improve your athletic performance, this unique approach is designed for you.
Beyond Muscles: Working with Your Body’s Master System
Our sessions are built on the understanding that true strength and flexibility start not with pushing harder, but with communicating better with your nervous system. I see the body as an interconnected mystery we get to explore, not a machine to be forced.
Nervous System Focus: We use specific movements to signal safety to your nervous system. When the body feels safe, it lets go of tension and pain and allows for more awareness, movement, and sense of well-being.
Embracing the Mystery: My approach is non-dogmatic. I guide you to pay attention to your interoception (how you feel inside), trusting that your body holds the best information about what it needs.
Functional Longevity: This isn't about gym vanity. It's about creating a resilient, adaptable body that can handle everything from a heavy lift to moving through your day without aches and pains, ensuring you keep moving well for decades.
Reclaiming Your Movement Potential: Who I Work With
If you've felt stuck, stiff, or like your body is holding you back, my sessions can offer a path forward, customized for:
The Go-Getter: You push hard but feel brittle. Learn restorative movement to complement the way you like to workout. Cultivate a body that can recover and adapt quickly.
The Unexplained Aches: You’ve been told you need to stretch or get stronger. We address the root neurological holding patterns with intelligence to help find relief.
The Curious Mover: You're fascinated by the mind-body connection. We offer a space to learn how different approaches to moving, stretching, and strengthening can lead to profound physical change.
Your Session, Your Evolution
Every strength and flexibility session is a fully customized, collaborative experience, informed by my 21-year career as a professional ballet dancer, my decades of experience as a teacher and choreographer, my 6 years as a Certified Personal Trainer, and my advanced assisted-stretch work.
This training is not about high-impact workouts; it's about sophisticated movement that builds lasting resilience. We focus on training your body for the demands of your real life, blending:
Functional Strength: Building stability in complex joints like the hips and shoulders to help you move with greater ease and confidence.
Neuro-Myo-Fascia Health: Incorporating specific lengthening and resistance techniques to improve the health and adaptability of your nerves, muscles, and connective tissue.
Pain Reduction: Educating your body out of chronic tension patterns to manage and reduce persistent pain.
Manual Therapy Integration: Experience hands-on manual therapy techniques that can help soften areas of tension, bring awareness, and guide your somatic journey.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Do I need to be an athlete to benefit from this training? A: Not at all. This training is beneficial for anyone seeking improved movement, whether you are a professional dancer, recovering from an injury, or dealing with a sedentary lifestyle. The methods are tailored to your current physical capacity.
Q: Where do the in-person sessions take place? A: In-studio training is conducted at Grand Street Healing Project, 105 Grand Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I also offer the convenience of customized in-home sessions across Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Q: How does this complement my massage sessions? A: Both Massage and the movements of Strength and Flexibility training sessions help to calm and positively affect your nervous system and your neuro-myo-fascia (nerve, muscle connective tissue). Massage can help to mobilize your tissue. Training sessions can help your body learn to activate, stabilize, and move into new areas of mobility. They are highly complementary for exploring sustainable change, relief, and resilience.
